Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security alerts and events using SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, QRadar) to identify potential threats and vulnerabilities in real-time.
- Conduct thorough investigations into security incidents, root cause analysis, and implement remediation strategies to prevent recurrence.
- Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS), and VPNs to secure network perimeters.
- Perform regular vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to proactively identify weaknesses in systems and applications.
- Develop and maintain security policies, procedures, and compliance documentation aligned with industry standards such as NIST, ISO 27001, and SOC 2.
- Collaborate with IT operations and development teams to integrate security best practices into the software development lifecycle (DevSecOps).
- Conduct security awareness training sessions for employees to foster a culture of security within the organization.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
- Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) or Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH) certification is highly desired.
- Minimum of 4-6 years of experience in cybersecurity, incident response, or network security analysis.
- Strong working knowledge of TCP/IP, subnetting, routing, and switching protocols.
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python or Bash for automation and threat hunting.
- Experience with cloud security platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate complex security concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
