SecureNet Kansas City is seeking a highly skilled and proactive Cybersecurity Analyst to join our elite Information Security team. Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security events using SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, QRadar, Sentinel) to detect and respond to threats in real-time.
- Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify weaknesses in our infrastructure.
- Investigate and remediate security incidents, ensuring minimal impact on business operations.
- Manage user access controls and perform periodic audits to prevent unauthorized access.
- Develop, maintain, and update security policies, procedures, and incident response plans.
- Stay current with industry trends, emerging threats, and security best practices to recommend improvements.
- Provide security training and guidance to junior staff and other departments.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field.
- 3+ years of professional experience in cybersecurity, SOC analysis, or information security.
- Professional certification preferred: CISSP, CEH, Security+, or CySA+.
- Strong knowledge of network protocols, firewalls, IDS/IPS, and VPN technologies.
- Experience with incident response methodologies and digital forensics.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
