Responsibilities
- Threat Detection & Response: Monitor security alerts and events using SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar) to identify and mitigate potential breaches in real-time.
- Vulnerability Management: Conduct regular vulnerability assessments, penetration testing, and security audits to identify weaknesses in our systems.
- Incident Response: Lead the investigation and remediation of security incidents, ensuring minimal impact on business operations.
- Policy Implementation: Develop, enforce, and maintain security policies, standards, and procedures in compliance with NIST and ISO 27001 frameworks.
- Network Security: Configure and manage firewalls, VPNs, and intrusion prevention systems to protect the network perimeter.
- Security Awareness: Train and educate staff on security best practices and emerging cyber threats.
Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in cybersecurity, network security, or a related field.
- Certifications: CISSP, CEH, Security+, or GSEC certification is highly preferred.
- Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, network protocols, and security architectures.
- Tools: Proficiency with SIEM solutions (Splunk, LogRhythm), EDR (CrowdStrike, SentinelOne), and scripting languages (Python/Bash).
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present complex technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field.
