Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security alerts using SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, LogRhythm) to detect and respond to cyber threats in real-time.
- Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify weaknesses in the organization's infrastructure and applications.
- Develop, implement, and maintain robust security policies, procedures, and compliance frameworks aligned with NIST, ISO, and HIPAA standards.
- Lead incident response efforts for security breaches, coordinating with IT teams and external stakeholders to minimize downtime and data loss.
- Perform forensic analysis on compromised systems to determine the scope and root cause of security incidents.
- Collaborate with development teams to integrate security best practices into the software development lifecycle (DevSecOps).
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
- Certification such as CISSP, CEH, Security+, or GCIH is strongly required.
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in cybersecurity operations, incident response, or network security.
- Deep knowledge of network protocols, firewalls, encryption standards, and VPN technologies.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues under pressure.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for reporting to executive leadership.
