Responsibilities
- Monitor, analyze, and respond to security alerts and incidents in real-time using SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar, or similar).
- Conduct thorough threat hunting and vulnerability assessments to identify potential security gaps before exploitation.
- Investigate and remediate security breaches, ensuring minimal downtime and data loss.
- Manage and maintain security controls, including firewalls, IDS/IPS, and endpoint protection systems.
- Collaborate with IT and engineering teams to design and implement secure architectures.
- Develop and maintain security policies, procedures, and compliance documentation (NIST, ISO 27001).
- Conduct regular security training and awareness sessions for staff.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related technical field; Master’s degree preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in cybersecurity, SOC operations, or network security.
- Strong knowledge of security frameworks (NIST, CIA triad) and compliance standards (GDPR, HIPAA).
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, PowerShell, or Bash for automation and analysis.
- Certifications such as CISSP, CEH, or Security+ are highly preferred.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate complex security concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Valid driver's license and willingness to travel for on-site security audits.
