Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor security alerts and events using SIEM tools to identify and mitigate potential threats in real-time.
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify system weaknesses.
- Investigate and respond to security incidents, including root cause analysis and remediation.
- Manage and configure firewalls, IDS/IPS, and endpoint protection solutions.
- Ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulations such as SOC2, HIPAA, and GDPR.
- Collaborate with IT and development teams to integrate security best practices into the software development lifecycle.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field.
- Minimum of 4-6 years of experience in cybersecurity, incident response, or a similar role.
- Certifications such as CISSP, CEH, Security+, or GCIH are strongly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of network protocols, operating systems (Windows/Linux), and cloud security (AWS/Azure).
- Proficiency with SIEM platforms (e.g., Splunk, Sentinel, QRadar) and scripting languages (Python or PowerShell).
- Excellent analytical skills and the ability to communicate complex security concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
