Responsibilities
- Threat Detection & Monitoring: Continuously monitor network traffic and security alerts using SIEM tools to identify and mitigate potential threats in real-time.
- Incident Response: Lead the investigation and resolution of security breaches, coordinating with legal and IT teams to minimize downtime and data loss.
- Vulnerability Management: Conduct regular penetration testing and vulnerability assessments to identify weaknesses in systems and applications before they are exploited.
- SOC Management: Oversee the daily operations of the Security Operations Center, ensuring all logs are analyzed and reported accurately.
- Compliance & Governance: Ensure strict adherence to regulatory frameworks such as SOC 2, HIPAA, and ISO 27001.
- Security Awareness Training: Develop and deliver training programs to educate employees on security best practices and phishing awareness.
Qualifications
- Certifications: CISSP, Security+, CEH, or GSEC certification is highly preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in cybersecurity, SOC, or network administration.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency with SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, QRadar, Sentinel), firewalls, and IDS/IPS systems.
- Networking: Strong understanding of TCP/IP, VPNs, routing, and switching protocols.
- Scripting: Ability to write and modify scripts (Python, PowerShell, or Bash) to automate security tasks.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for reporting technical findings to non-technical stakeholders.
