Responsibilities
- Monitor network traffic and security events using SIEM tools such as Splunk and QRadar.
- Conduct daily vulnerability assessments and support penetration testing activities.
- Investigate and respond to security incidents in accordance with established incident response plans.
- Ensure strict compliance with regulatory standards, including HIPAA, PCI-DSS, and NIST.
- Collaborate with IT and engineering teams to patch vulnerabilities and secure endpoints.
- Generate comprehensive security reports and dashboards for executive leadership.
- Assist in the development and testing of security policies and procedures.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related technical field.
- 3-5+ years of hands-on experience in cybersecurity or SOC operations.
- Certifications such as CISSP, Security+, CEH, or GCIH are highly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, networking protocols, and operating systems (Windows/Linux).
- Proficiency in scripting languages like Python or PowerShell.
- Ability to work effectively in a high-pressure 24/7 SOC environment.
