Responsibilities
- Real-Time Threat Monitoring: Continuously analyze security alerts and events from SIEM tools to identify and mitigate potential threats in real-time.
- Incident Response Leadership: Lead the investigation, containment, and eradication of cybersecurity incidents, ensuring minimal business disruption.
- Vulnerability Management: Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify weaknesses in our network and applications before they are exploited.
- Security Architecture Implementation: Collaborate with IT teams to design, implement, and maintain robust security controls, including firewalls, IDS/IPS, and endpoint protection.
- Compliance & Governance: Ensure strict adherence to internal policies and external regulations such as GDPR, HIPAA, and NIST frameworks.
- Security Awareness Training: Develop and deliver engaging training programs to educate employees on security best practices and phishing awareness.
Qualifications
- Education & Certification: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field; CISSP, CEH, or Security+ certification is highly preferred.
- Professional Experience: Minimum of 4-6 years of progressive experience in cybersecurity, network security, or SOC operations.
- Technical Proficiency: Proficiency with SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, QRadar), scripting languages (Python or Bash), and familiarity with cloud security (AWS/Azure).
- Technical Knowledge: Deep understanding of TCP/IP, networking protocols, and common attack vectors (phishing, malware, ransomware).
- Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present complex security findings to non-technical stakeholders.
- Problem-Solving Ability: Strong analytical skills with the ability to think critically and act swiftly under pressure during active security incidents.
