Responsibilities
- Design and implement advanced threat detection systems using SIEM platforms (Splunk, QRadar)
- Lead incident response coordination during security breaches and cyber attacks
- Conduct comprehensive penetration testing and vulnerability assessments
- Develop security awareness programs for enterprise-wide risk mitigation
- Collaborate with DevOps teams to embed security in CI/CD pipelines
- Analyze malware and sophisticated attack vectors using forensic tools
- Comply with NIST, ISO 27001, and NYDFS cybersecurity regulations
Qualifications
- 8+ years in cybersecurity with 3+ years in threat detection/response
- CISSP, CISM, or CEH certification required (GIAC preferred)
- Expertise in cloud security (AWS/Azure) and network architecture
- Experience with MITRE ATT&CK framework and threat hunting
- Strong scripting skills (Python, PowerShell) for automation
- Proven incident response leadership in regulated industries
- Ability to mentor junior analysts and communicate complex risks
