Responsibilities
- Lead 24/7 threat detection, monitoring, and incident response using SIEM platforms (Splunk, QRadar)
- Conduct vulnerability assessments, penetration testing, and security architecture reviews
- Develop and implement zero-trust security frameworks and network segmentation strategies
- Manage compliance initiatives for NIST, ISO 27001, and industry-specific regulations
- Collaborate with DevOps teams to embed security in CI/CD pipelines
- Mentor junior analysts and document security procedures
- Present threat intelligence to executive stakeholders quarterly
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 5+ years in cybersecurity with 3+ years in threat detection/response roles
- Active CISSP, CISM, or CompTIA Security+ certification required
- Expertise in cloud security (AWS/Azure/GCP) and network security protocols
- Hands-on experience with EDR tools (CrowdStrike, SentinelOne) and forensic analysis
- Strong understanding of MITRE ATT&CK framework and threat hunting methodologies
- Ability to obtain and maintain DoD Secret clearance (preferred)
