Responsibilities
- Monitor, analyze, and respond to security incidents and alerts using SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, QRadar).
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify potential weaknesses in our systems.
- Implement and manage security controls, firewalls, and intrusion detection/prevention systems.
- Develop and maintain security policies, procedures, and compliance documentation (SOC 2, HIPAA, NIST).
- Lead incident response efforts, coordinating with internal teams and external stakeholders during a breach.
- Provide security training and awareness programs for employees to reduce human error risks.
- Stay abreast of the latest cybersecurity threats and trends to recommend proactive defense strategies.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5+ years of experience in cybersecurity analysis or a related role.
- Certifications such as CISSP, CEH, SSCP, or Security+ are strongly preferred.
- Deep knowledge of network protocols, operating systems (Windows/Linux), and cloud security (AWS/Azure).
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python or PowerShell for automation and threat hunting.
- Experience with Threat Intelligence platforms and log analysis.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to work under pressure.
- Effective communication skills to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
