Responsibilities
- Monitor security alerts through SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar) and conduct thorough investigations into suspicious activities.
- Perform regular vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify and mitigate system weaknesses.
- Configure, manage, and optimize firewalls, VPNs, and endpoint protection solutions.
- Lead incident response efforts for security breaches and coordinate with legal and compliance teams.
- Develop, implement, and maintain security policies, procedures, and documentation.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards such as ISO 27001 and HIPAA through regular audits.
- Collaborate with IT and DevOps teams to integrate security best practices into the software development lifecycle (DevSecOps).
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in cybersecurity, network administration, or information security.
- Certifications such as CISSP, CEH, Security+, or GIAC GSEC are highly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, networking protocols, and operating systems (Linux/Windows).
- Proficiency in using security tools including Nmap, Wireshark, and Snort.
- Experience with Identity and Access Management (IAM) solutions and Active Directory.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to remain calm and decisive under pressure.
- BS in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related technical field.
