Responsibilities
- Monitor, analyze, and respond to security alerts and incidents using SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, QRadar).
- Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify system weaknesses.
- Develop and implement security policies, procedures, and standards to ensure compliance with regulatory frameworks (GDPR, HIPAA, PCI-DSS).
- Lead forensic investigations into security breaches and coordinate with legal and management teams.
- Perform security architecture reviews for new and existing applications and infrastructure.
- Conduct security awareness training for staff and manage access controls (IAM).
- Stay current on emerging cyber threats and proactively update defense mechanisms.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
- Certifications such as CISSP, CEH, Security+, or GCIH are strongly required.
- Minimum of 5+ years of experience in cybersecurity, SOC, or threat intelligence.
- Deep knowledge of network protocols, operating systems, and common attack vectors.
- Experience with firewalls, IDS/IPS, and endpoint protection solutions.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to work under pressure.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for reporting to stakeholders.
