Responsibilities
- Monitor, analyze, and respond to security alerts and incidents within the SIEM environment (Splunk/SolarWinds).
- Conduct daily vulnerability assessments and penetration testing support.
- Investigate and remediate security breaches and unauthorized access attempts.
- Configure and maintain firewalls, IDS/IPS, and VPNs to ensure network integrity.
- Develop and update incident response playbooks and security policies.
- Collaborate with IT teams to ensure secure software development lifecycle (SDLC) practices.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- 3+ years of experience in cybersecurity, SOC operations, or network security.
- Professional certifications such as CISSP, Security+, CEH, or GCIH preferred.
- Strong knowledge of network protocols, operating systems (Windows/Linux), and common attack vectors.
- Proficiency with SIEM tools, forensics, and threat intelligence platforms.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for reporting to stakeholders.
