Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security alerts from SIEM platforms (e.g., Splunk, QRadar) to detect and mitigate threats in real-time.
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify weaknesses in our infrastructure.
- Manage and configure firewalls, IDS/IPS, and VPNs to ensure robust network perimeter security.
- Investigate and remediate security incidents, ensuring compliance with internal policies and regulatory standards (HIPAA, PCI-DSS).
- Develop and maintain security documentation, including incident response plans and technical architecture diagrams.
- Collaborate with IT and development teams to integrate security best practices into the software development lifecycle (SDLC).
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Certification preferred: CISSP, CEH, Security+, or GSEC.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in SOC, GRC, or Threat Intelligence roles.
- Strong proficiency with Python or Bash scripting for automation and log analysis.
- Deep understanding of network protocols, TCP/IP, and common attack vectors.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate complex security concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
