Responsibilities
- Monitor security operations center (SOC) alerts and conduct 24/7 analysis of suspicious network traffic and system anomalies.
- Lead incident response investigations, including root cause analysis, containment strategies, and post-incident reporting.
- Perform regular vulnerability assessments, penetration testing, and security audits to identify potential weaknesses.
- Design and implement security controls, including firewalls, intrusion prevention systems, and endpoint protection solutions.
- Develop and maintain documentation for security policies, procedures, and compliance standards (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001).
- Conduct security awareness training and workshops for staff to foster a culture of security.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in cybersecurity, network security, or information security analysis.
- Professional certification such as CISSP, CISM, CEH, or GCIH is highly preferred.
- Strong proficiency with SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, QRadar, LogRhythm) and endpoint detection systems (EDR).
- Experience with scripting languages such as Python or PowerShell for automation and threat hunting.
- Deep understanding of network protocols, TCP/IP, and common attack vectors (e.g., phishing, malware, ransomware).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate complex security concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
