Responsibilities
- Design and implement enterprise-wide security controls including firewalls, IDS/IPS systems, and endpoint protection platforms
- Lead incident response investigations using SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar) to detect and mitigate advanced threats
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing across cloud/on-premises environments
- Develop and maintain security documentation including playbooks, policies, and compliance frameworks
- Collaborate with DevOps teams to integrate security into CI/CD pipelines (DevSecOps)
- Mentor junior analysts and conduct security awareness training for employees
- Stay current with emerging threats and industry best practices through continuous research
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or related field (Master's preferred)
- 5+ years of experience in cybersecurity with focus on threat detection and incident response
- Industry certifications: CISSP, CEH, or CompTIA Security+ (required) and AWS/Azure Security (preferred)
- Expertise in SIEM implementation, network security, and cloud security architectures
- Strong knowledge of compliance frameworks (NIST, ISO 27001, GDPR, HIPAA)
- Experience with scripting (Python, PowerShell) for automation tasks
- Excellent analytical skills and ability to communicate complex security concepts to non-technical stakeholders
