In this role, you will lead our Security Operations Center (SOC) efforts, ensuring rapid detection and response to security incidents. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement robust security frameworks and ensure compliance with industry regulations. Responsibilities
- Monitor and Analyze: Continuously monitor network traffic and security alerts using SIEM tools to identify potential threats and vulnerabilities in real-time.
- Incident Response: Lead the investigation and remediation of security breaches, ensuring minimal downtime and rapid recovery of systems.
- Risk Assessment: Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to proactively identify and mitigate security risks.
- Compliance: Ensure adherence to internal policies and external regulatory standards such as HIPAA, PCI-DSS, and SOC 2.
- Security Architecture: Assist in designing and deploying firewalls, IDS/IPS, and endpoint protection strategies.
- Collaboration: Work closely with IT and development teams to integrate security best practices into the software development lifecycle (SDLC).
- Reporting: Generate detailed security reports and dashboards for stakeholders to communicate risk posture and incident trends.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field is required.
- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in cybersecurity, network security, or a related role.
- Certifications: Active CISSP, Security+, CEH, or GSEC certification is highly preferred.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar), Firewalls (Cisco, Palo Alto), and Endpoint protection (CrowdStrike, SentinelOne).
- Knowledge: Strong understanding of network protocols, operating systems, and common attack vectors.
- Soft Skills: Excellent problem-solving abilities, strong communication skills, and the ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
