Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security alerts from SIEM platforms (Splunk, QRadar, or ArcSight) to identify and mitigate potential threats in real-time.
- Conduct thorough forensic investigations into security incidents, manage the incident response lifecycle, and recommend remediation strategies.
- Perform regular vulnerability assessments and support penetration testing activities for internal and external systems.
- Enforce and monitor compliance with industry standards such as NIST, ISO 27001, and PCI-DSS.
- Collaborate closely with engineering and software development teams to design secure architectures and implement security controls.
- Develop and maintain documentation, including security policies, procedures, and playbooks.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in cybersecurity, information security analysis, or a related field.
- Certification: CISSP, CEH, GCIH, or Security+ preferred.
- Strong knowledge of network security protocols, firewalls, IDS/IPS, and VPN technologies.
- Experience with threat intelligence platforms and security analytics tools.
- Proficiency in scripting languages (Python, PowerShell, or Bash) for automation and log analysis.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for reporting complex technical findings to stakeholders.
