Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security alerts using SIEM platforms (Splunk, QRadar) to detect and respond to cyber threats
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify system weaknesses
- Develop and implement incident response plans for security breaches and cyber attacks
- Collaborate with IT teams to ensure compliance with NIST, ISO 27001, and PCI DSS standards
- Create executive-level security reports and briefings on threat landscapes and mitigation strategies
- Lead security awareness training programs for employees across multiple departments
- Research emerging threats and contribute to threat intelligence databases
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 5+ years of hands-on experience in cybersecurity operations, threat detection, or incident response
- Industry certifications: CISSP, CEH, or GIAC preferred (e.g., GCIH, GCFA)
- Expertise in SIEM tools, firewalls, IDS/IPS, and endpoint security solutions
- Strong knowledge of network protocols, operating systems, and cloud architectures (AWS/Azure)
- Experience with threat intelligence platforms (Mandiant, Recorded Future) and malware analysis
- Excellent problem-solving skills with ability to work under pressure during security incidents
