Responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate incident response activities to identify, contain, and eradicate security breaches.
- Conduct proactive threat hunting and vulnerability assessments to identify potential risks before they are exploited.
- Design, implement, and maintain security controls, including firewalls, IDS/IPS, and endpoint protection systems.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory frameworks such as NIST, SOC2, and HIPAA through regular audits and assessments.
- Collaborate with IT teams to integrate security best practices into the software development lifecycle (DevSecOps).
- Develop and deliver security awareness training programs to educate employees on security protocols.
- Analyze security logs and telemetry using SIEM tools to detect anomalies and trends.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field.
- Certification as a CISSP, CEH, or CISM is strongly preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in cybersecurity, incident response, or network security.
- Expert knowledge of SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, QRadar) and endpoint protection platforms.
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python or Bash for automation and security tasks.
- Strong understanding of network protocols, cryptography, and cloud security (AWS/Azure).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
