We're seeking an expert to architect scalable, secure, and cost-optimized AWS/Azure environments while mentoring junior engineers. This hybrid role combines cutting-edge cloud strategy with hands-on implementation in a mission-critical environment.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement multi-cloud infrastructure using Terraform, CloudFormation, and Infrastructure-as-Code
- Optimize cloud costs through FinOps practices and resource automation
- Lead CI/CD pipeline development using Jenkins, GitLab, or GitHub Actions
- Implement advanced security controls including IAM, VPC design, and compliance frameworks
- Provide 24/7 on-call rotation for production cloud environments
- Mentor junior engineers on cloud best practices and emerging technologies
- Collaborate with DevOps teams to resolve complex infrastructure issues
Qualifications
- 5+ years of cloud engineering experience with AWS/Azure/GCP
- Expert-level proficiency in at least one IaC tool (Terraform/CloudFormation)
- Strong scripting skills in Python, Bash, or PowerShell
- Hands-on experience with Kubernetes (EKS/GKE) and container orchestration
- AWS/Azure certifications (Solutions Architect/DevOps Engineer preferred)
- Federal cloud compliance experience (FedRAMP, CMMC, or NIST 800-53)
- Proven track record of optimizing cloud spend and performance
