Responsibilities
- Leadership & Mentorship: Lead, direct, and mentor a team of animators, providing constructive feedback and fostering a collaborative and creative environment.
- Pipeline Management: Oversee the 2D animation pipeline, identifying bottlenecks and implementing technical solutions to streamline production workflows.
- Artistic Direction: Define and maintain the visual style guide, ensuring consistency across all deliverables and pushing the creative boundaries of the medium.
- Storytelling: Collaborate with writers and directors to translate scripts into compelling visual narratives, focusing on timing, weight, and character emotion.
- Quality Assurance: Conduct rigorous quality control reviews of final renders and assets to ensure they meet the highest industry standards.
- Technical Proficiency: Stay current with the latest 2D animation technologies and techniques, training team members on new tools and best practices.
Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum of 5-7 years of professional experience in 2D animation, with at least 2 years in a lead or senior capacity.
- Portfolio: A robust portfolio demonstrating advanced animation principles, character performance, and a unique artistic style.
- Software: Proficiency in industry-standard software including Toon Boom Harmony, Adobe Animate, or After Effects.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Animation, Fine Arts, or a related field is preferred.
- Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with the ability to articulate complex artistic concepts clearly.
- Problem Solving: Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to make quick, high-quality decisions under tight deadlines.
