Responsibilities
- Monitor security alerts and events 24/7 during weekend shifts to ensure continuous protection of enterprise assets.
- Perform real-time threat hunting and analysis using SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, QRadar) to identify anomalies and potential intrusions.
- Conduct detailed investigations into security breaches, malware infections, and unauthorized access attempts.
- Execute and document incident response procedures, including containment, eradication, and recovery actions.
- Collaborate with the Core SOC team during handover periods to ensure seamless knowledge transfer and status updates.
- Generate and present daily/weekly security reports to leadership highlighting incident trends and system health.
- Perform routine vulnerability assessments and patch management validation to reduce attack surfaces.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent military/experience).
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a Security Operations Center (SOC) or Network Security role.
- Certifications preferred: CISSP, Security+, CEH, or GCIH.
- Strong proficiency with log analysis tools and SIEM platforms (Splunk, ELK Stack, or similar).
- Demonstrated ability to analyze network traffic and identify malicious patterns.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for reporting findings to stakeholders.
- Must be available to work weekend shifts (Saturday and Sunday) with flexibility for rotating holidays.
