Responsibilities
- Monitor network traffic and security alerts for potential threats 24/7.
- Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and penetration testing.
- Investigate and respond to security incidents and breaches promptly.
- Manage and configure firewalls, IDS/IPS, and VPNs.
- Enforce security policies and ensure compliance with HIPAA and GDPR standards.
- Provide security awareness training to non-technical staff.
- Document security incidents and maintain accurate logs.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or related field.
- Certification such as CISSP, CEH, Security+, or GSEC preferred.
- 3+ years of experience in network security or IT operations.
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, OSI model, and common protocols.
- Experience with SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, QRadar) and EDR solutions.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently in a remote setting.
- U.S. Citizenship required for clearance eligibility.
