Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and maintain network hardware including routers, switches, and firewalls
- Monitor network performance using diagnostic tools and proactively address security vulnerabilities
- Provide Tier 2/3 technical support for network-related issues across multiple locations
- Document network configurations, changes, and troubleshooting procedures
- Collaborate with vendors to implement network upgrades and new technologies
- Ensure compliance with industry standards (NIST, ISO 27001)
- Develop and execute disaster recovery plans for network infrastructure
Qualifications
- Associate's degree in Network Engineering or IT certification (CompTIA Network+, CCNA)
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with Cisco routers/switches and VPN implementation
- Proficiency in network monitoring tools (SolarWinds, PRTG) and packet analysis
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and VLAN configurations
- Experience with cloud networking (AWS/Azure) and SD-WAN solutions
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently
- Valid California driver's license for occasional on-site visits
