Responsibilities
- Design and deploy quantum annealing systems with >10,000 qubit capacity
- Develop cryogenic cooling protocols for sub-15mK quantum processors
- Implement quantum error correction frameworks using surface code algorithms
- Architect hybrid quantum-classical computing pipelines
- Optimize quantum gate operations for industrial-scale applications
- Collaborate with materials science teams on qubit stabilization
- Document quantum system performance metrics and failure modes
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics or equivalent practical experience
- 3+ years hands-on quantum system implementation
- Proficiency in Q#, Qiskit, or Cirq programming frameworks
- Deep understanding of quantum decoherence mitigation
- Experience with dilution refrigeration systems
- Published research in Nature/Science on quantum computing
- Security clearance for DoD quantum projects preferred
- Fluency in quantum machine learning architectures
