Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for optimization and simulation
- Lead experimental quantum computing projects using 100+ qubit systems
- Develop error correction protocols for fault-tolerant quantum processors
- Collaborate with AI teams to integrate quantum-classical hybrid systems
- Publish 2-3 high-impact research papers annually in Nature/Science
- Secure $1M+ in government/private research grants
- Mentor junior researchers in quantum physics fundamentals
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field
- 3+ years hands-on experience with quantum computing platforms (IBM, Rigetti, etc.)
- Expertise in quantum error correction and fault-tolerance techniques
- Strong publication record in top-tier scientific journals
- Proficiency in Python/C++ with quantum libraries (Qiskit, Cirq)
- Demonstrated grant-writing success for large-scale research
- Experience mentoring PhD candidates or post-docs
