Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization and simulation problems
- Lead quantum hardware-software integration projects with industry partners
- Author peer-reviewed publications and present at top-tier conferences
- Mentor cross-functional teams in quantum principles and applications
- Contribute to open-source quantum frameworks and contribute to industry standards
- Secure external funding through NSF and DoE grant applications
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, Computer Science, or related field
- 3+ years experience with quantum programming languages (Q#, Qiskit, Cirq)
- Published research in quantum error correction or fault-tolerant systems
- Expertise in quantum circuit optimization and compiler design
- Strong background in linear algebra, probability theory, and computational complexity
- Demonstrated experience with quantum hardware (IBM Quantum, Rigetti, etc.)
- Security clearance preferred for DoE collaboration projects
