Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization and simulation problems
- Lead experimental validation of quantum hardware prototypes at cryogenic temperatures
- Collaborate with materials science teams to develop next-generation qubit architectures
- Develop error-correction protocols for fault-tolerant quantum systems
- Author technical whitepapers and peer-reviewed publications on quantum computing breakthroughs
- Mentor junior researchers in quantum information theory and experimental physics
- Secure patents for proprietary quantum methodologies and IP
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field with 3+ years research experience
- Published work in quantum computing or quantum information theory
- Proficiency with quantum programming frameworks (Qiskit, Cirq, Q#)
- Hands-on experience with superconducting qubit systems or ion-trap technologies
- Strong background in linear algebra, probability theory, and computational complexity
- Demonstrated ability to secure competitive research grants
- Experience with low-level hardware interfacing and cryogenic systems
