Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for cryptography, optimization, and machine learning applications
- Collaborate with hardware engineers to mitigate quantum decoherence and error correction challenges
- Lead cross-functional teams to prototype quantum solutions for real-world industry problems
- Publish peer-reviewed research in top-tier journals and present at international quantum conferences
- Secure and manage research grants from NSF, DARPA, and private sector partners
- Mentor junior researchers and contribute to our quantum computing curriculum development
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with quantum programming frameworks (Qiskit, Cirq, or Q#)
- Proven track record of publishing in quantum information science or quantum computing
- Deep understanding of quantum mechanics principles and quantum hardware architectures
- Expertise in high-performance computing and parallel processing environments
- Strong analytical skills with ability to translate theoretical concepts into practical implementations
- Excellent communication skills for presenting complex quantum concepts to diverse stakeholders
