Responsibilities
- Design and optimize quantum algorithms for error correction and qubit stability
- Lead cross-functional teams to develop quantum machine learning frameworks
- Publish 2+ peer-reviewed papers annually in Nature/Science journals
- Collaborate with hardware engineers to prototype quantum processors
- Secure $1M+ in annual research grants from NSF/DARPA
- Mentor PhD candidates in quantum information theory
- Develop patentable quantum encryption protocols for commercial deployment
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field (2020-2024 graduates preferred)
- 3+ years hands-on experience with quantum programming languages (Qiskit, Cirq)
- Published research in top-tier quantum computing journals
- Expertise in quantum error correction and fault-tolerant architectures
- Proficiency with cryogenic quantum systems and RF engineering
- Strong background in linear algebra and quantum information theory
- Experience securing federal research grants
