Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization and simulation problems
- Lead research on quantum error correction and fault-tolerant computing architectures
- Collaborate with hardware engineers to prototype quantum processors at cryogenic temperatures
- Publish findings in top-tier journals (Nature, Science, IEEE) and present at international conferences
- Develop quantum machine learning frameworks for predictive analytics
- Secure research grants and patents for proprietary quantum methodologies
- Mentor junior researchers and lead cross-functional innovation sprints
Qualifications
- PhD in Physics, Computer Science, or related field with quantum focus
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with quantum programming (Q#, Qiskit, Cirq)
- Published research in quantum information science or quantum algorithms
- Expertise in quantum circuit design and quantum simulation frameworks
- Strong background in linear algebra, complex analysis, and computational complexity
- Proficiency in Python, C++, and high-performance computing environments
- Demonstrated ability to secure NSF or DARPA research funding
