Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for real-world applications
- Lead experimental validation of quantum circuits on superconducting platforms
- Publish peer-reviewed research in Nature/Science journals
- Mentor PhD candidates in quantum information theory
- Secure $1M+ in NSF/DoE grants annually
- Collaborate with MIT/Stanford quantum research consortia
- Develop error-correction protocols for fault-tolerant systems
Qualifications
- PhD in Physics, Computer Science, or related field (2020-2023 graduates)
- 3+ years quantum programming (Qiskit, Cirq, or Q#)
- Published work in quantum machine learning or cryptography
- Expertise in quantum error correction and fault tolerance
- Experience with cryogenic quantum hardware interfaces
- Strong Python/C++ and linear algebra foundations
- Track record of translating theory to experimental results
