Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization and simulation problems
- Develop error correction techniques for fault-tolerant quantum systems
- Collaborate with hardware engineers to integrate quantum processors with classical computing frameworks
- Lead research initiatives in quantum machine learning applications
- Publish findings in peer-reviewed journals and present at international conferences
- Secure and manage research grants from federal and private institutions
- Mentor junior researchers and contribute to technical documentation
Qualifications
- PhD in Physics, Computer Science, or related field with quantum computing specialization
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with quantum programming (Qiskit, Cirq, or Q#)
- Deep understanding of quantum algorithms, quantum information theory, and quantum error correction
- Proven track record of published research in quantum computing or quantum information
- Expertise in at least one classical programming language (Python, C++, or Rust)
- Familiarity with quantum hardware architectures (superconducting, trapped ions, photonics)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with complex mathematical concepts
- Excellent communication skills for cross-functional collaboration
