Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for optimization problems and machine learning applications
- Develop novel error-correction techniques to enhance qubit coherence times
- Collaborate with hardware teams to improve quantum processor performance metrics
- Publish research in top-tier journals (Nature, Science, Quantum) and present at IEEE Quantum Week
- Lead cross-functional projects integrating quantum solutions with classical high-performance computing
- Advise government and industry partners on quantum security standards for 2026 infrastructure
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field with 3+ years research experience
- Proficiency in quantum programming languages (Q#, Qiskit, Cirq) and simulation frameworks
- Published work in quantum algorithms or quantum error correction
- Strong mathematical foundation in linear algebra, group theory, and quantum information theory
- Experience with superconducting qubits or trapped-ion systems
- Track record of securing competitive research grants (NSF, DARPA, etc.)
