Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization, simulation, and cryptography
- Develop quantum hardware prototypes using superconducting qubits and topological systems
- Lead cross-functional teams to translate theoretical models into scalable quantum processors
- Publish groundbreaking research in top-tier journals and present at international conferences
- Secure patents for proprietary quantum computing methodologies
- Mentor junior researchers and foster quantum literacy across the organization
- Collaborate with government agencies and industry partners on quantum security standards
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of hands-on quantum algorithm development experience
- Proficiency in quantum programming languages (Qiskit, Cirq, Q#)
- Demonstrated expertise in quantum error correction and fault-tolerant architectures
- Strong publication record in quantum computing or adjacent fields
- Experience with cryogenic quantum systems and microwave control electronics
- Deep understanding of quantum information theory and complexity classes
- Ability to secure and manage multi-million dollar research grants
