Responsibilities
- Develop novel quantum algorithms for optimization and machine learning
- Design error-correction protocols to achieve fault-tolerant quantum computing
- Lead experimental validation on cryogenic quantum processors
- Collaborate with hardware teams to improve qubit coherence times
- Secure federal grants and publish high-impact research
- Mentor PhD researchers in quantum information theory
- Translate theoretical breakthroughs into patentable technologies
Qualifications
- PhD in Physics, Computer Science, or related field (postdoc preferred)
- 3+ years hands-on quantum algorithm development experience
- Published research in top-tier quantum computing journals
- Proficiency in Qiskit, Cirq, or similar quantum frameworks
- Deep understanding of quantum error correction codes
- Experience with cryogenic systems and microwave control electronics
- Track record of securing research funding ($500k+)
