Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for practical applications
- Lead experimental validation of quantum systems on 100+ qubit platforms
- Develop error correction protocols for fault-tolerant quantum computing
- Collaborate with hardware teams to optimize quantum processor architectures
- Secure $5M+ in research grants and patents
- Mentor junior researchers and publish 3+ high-impact papers annually
- Partner with Fortune 500 companies to commercialize quantum solutions
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field
- 3+ years of hands-on quantum algorithm development experience
- Proficiency in Qiskit, Cirq, or equivalent quantum programming frameworks
- Publication record in Nature/Science or equivalent tier journals
- Deep understanding of quantum error correction and fault tolerance
- Experience with superconducting or ion-trap quantum systems
- Strong Python/C++ programming and mathematical modeling skills
