Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for real-world applications
- Lead cutting-edge research in quantum error correction and fault tolerance
- Publish findings in top-tier journals (Nature, Science, etc.)
- Collaborate with hardware teams to optimize quantum processor performance
- Secure $500K+ annual research grants from government/private entities
- Mentor PhD candidates in quantum information science
- Present breakthroughs at international conferences (QIP, APS March Meeting)
Qualifications
- PhD in Physics, Computer Science, or related field (postdoc preferred)
- 3+ years hands-on experience with quantum programming frameworks (Qiskit, Cirq)
- Published research in quantum computing or quantum information theory
- Expertise in quantum circuit optimization and simulation
- Strong background in linear algebra and quantum mechanics
- Experience with high-performance computing environments
- Proven grant writing track record for research funding
- Clearance for DoD/NIST collaborative projects
