Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization and simulation problems
- Lead cross-functional teams in translating theoretical models into scalable quantum circuits
- Develop error-correction protocols for fault-tolerant quantum computation
- Publish breakthrough research in top-tier journals/conferences (Nature, QIP, etc.)
- Secure $1M+ in government/industry grants for quantum initiatives
- Mentor PhD candidates in quantum information science
- Drive commercialization of quantum solutions for Fortune 500 partners
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field (Postdoc preferred)
- 3+ years hands-on experience with superconducting qubits or ion trap systems
- Proficiency in Qiskit, Cirq, or equivalent quantum programming frameworks
- Published record in quantum algorithm development or quantum error correction
- Expertise in high-performance computing (HPC) and parallel processing
- Strong track record of securing research funding
- Exceptional problem-solving skills for NP-hard computational challenges
