Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization, cryptography, and machine learning applications
- Lead experimental research on quantum hardware integration and error correction methodologies
- Develop quantum software frameworks compatible with next-generation quantum processors
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate quantum research into commercial applications
- Publish findings in leading scientific journals and present at international conferences
- Mentor junior researchers and contribute to patent development for quantum innovations
- Stay current with emerging quantum computing standards and industry best practices
Qualifications
- PhD in Physics, Computer Science, Quantum Information, or related field (or equivalent research experience)
- 3+ years of hands-on quantum computing research with published papers in peer-reviewed journals
- Expertise in quantum programming languages (Qiskit, Cirq, Q#) and simulation frameworks
- Strong mathematical foundation in linear algebra, probability, and quantum mechanics
- Experience with superconducting or photonic quantum systems preferred
- Demonstrated ability to lead complex research projects from conception to completion
- Excellent problem-solving skills with ability to approach challenges from first principles
- Strong communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences
