Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for optimization problems in logistics, finance, and drug discovery
- Develop novel error correction protocols for fault-tolerant quantum systems
- Lead quantum machine learning initiatives using hybrid quantum-classical models
- Collaborate with hardware teams to calibrate quantum processors and qubit stability
- Author patents and publish top-tier research in quantum information science
- Mentor postdoctoral researchers and drive quantum literacy across departments
- Secure $2M+ in government grants and industry partnerships
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, or Computer Science (or equivalent industry experience)
- 3+ years developing quantum algorithms using Qiskit, Cirq, or Q# frameworks
- Expertise in quantum error correction and fault tolerance architectures
- Published research in quantum machine learning or quantum cryptography
- Proficiency with Python, C++, and quantum hardware simulation tools
- Experience with cloud quantum platforms (IBM Quantum, Amazon Braket)
- Strong background in linear algebra, group theory, and quantum mechanics
