Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization and simulation problems
- Lead quantum hardware-software integration projects with our engineering teams
- Publish peer-reviewed research in top-tier journals (Nature, Science, PRL)
- Develop quantum error correction protocols for fault-tolerant systems
- Mentor junior researchers and supervise graduate-level interns
- Secure federal research grants (NSF, DARPA, DoE) and industry partnerships
- Contribute to quantum security frameworks post-quantum cryptography standards
Qualifications
- PhD in Physics, Computer Science, or related field with quantum focus
- 3+ years of hands-on quantum algorithm development experience
- Proficiency in quantum programming languages (Qiskit, Cirq, Q#)
- Published research in quantum computing or quantum information theory
- Strong background in linear algebra, probability, and statistical mechanics
- Experience with superconducting qubit systems or ion trap technologies
- Ability to obtain/maintain DoD Secret clearance
- Excellent communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences
