Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for optimization problems with 100+ qubit systems
- Develop novel error correction protocols for fault-tolerant quantum computing
- Collaborate with hardware teams to benchmark quantum processor performance
- Publish peer-reviewed research in top-tier journals (Nature, Science, etc.)
- Lead cross-functional projects with AI and materials science divisions
- Secure $2M+ in annual research grants from NSF and DARPA
- Mentor PhD candidates in quantum information theory
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, or Computer Science (postdoc preferred)
- 3+ years hands-on experience with quantum programming frameworks (Qiskit, Cirq, etc.)
- Published research in quantum algorithms or quantum error correction
- Proficiency in Python, C++, and quantum circuit optimization
- Deep understanding of quantum entanglement and decoherence principles
- Experience with superconducting qubit architectures
- Demonstrated ability to secure government research funding
