Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization and simulation problems
- Develop error-correction protocols to achieve fault-tolerant quantum computation
- Collaborate with hardware teams to optimize quantum circuit designs for next-generation processors
- Lead research publications in top-tier journals and conferences (Nature, IEEE, etc.)
- Secure $2M+ in annual research grants from DARPA, NSF, and industry partners
- Mentor PhD candidates and postdoctoral researchers in quantum information theory
- Translate theoretical advances into patentable quantum computing applications
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, or Computer Science with 3+ years industry experience
- Expertise in quantum circuit design and quantum programming languages (Qiskit, Cirq)
- Published research in quantum algorithms or quantum error correction
- Proficiency in high-performance computing environments (HPC) and parallel programming
- Demonstrated ability to secure government and corporate research funding
- Strong background in linear algebra, probability, and complex analysis
- Experience with cryogenic systems and quantum hardware interfaces
