Responsibilities
- Lead quantum algorithm development for cryptography and optimization challenges
- Design error correction protocols for fault-tolerant quantum systems
- Collaborate with hardware teams to advance qubit coherence times
- Publish research in top-tier journals and present at industry conferences
- Mentor a team of 5+ quantum computing researchers
- Secure $2M+ in annual research grants from DARPA and NSF
- Develop roadmap for commercial quantum applications by 2026
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field
- 5+ years of quantum computing research experience
- Expertise in quantum error correction and fault tolerance
- Published work in Nature/Science or equivalent journals
- Proficiency in quantum programming languages (Q#, Qiskit)
- Experience leading cross-functional research teams
- Track record of securing government research grants
- Strong patents portfolio (minimum 3 granted patents)
