Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for optimization and machine learning applications
- Lead development of cryogenic quantum processor architectures with 100+ qubit stability
- Collaborate with hardware teams to mitigate quantum decoherence and error correction
- Secure $5M+ in research grants from NSF, DARPA, and private foundations
- Publish 3+ peer-reviewed papers annually in Nature/Science journals
- Develop quantum security protocols for blockchain and financial systems
- Mentor PhD researchers and establish industry-academic partnerships
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or Electrical Engineering with 8+ years R&D experience
- Published research in quantum error correction or topological qubits
- Expertise in Qiskit, Cirq, or equivalent quantum programming frameworks
- Proven track record of securing government research grants
- Experience leading teams of 10+ researchers in high-stakes environments
