Responsibilities
- Design quantum algorithms and protocols for error correction and system optimization
- Lead cross-functional teams in developing quantum hardware-software integration frameworks
- Architect fault-tolerant quantum computing systems with 100+ qubit scalability
- Research and implement novel quantum communication protocols for secure data transmission
- Develop performance benchmarks and validation metrics for quantum supremacy applications
- Secure patents for proprietary quantum computing methodologies
- Mentor junior researchers in quantum physics and computational theory
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 5+ years in quantum computing research or commercial quantum system development
- Expertise in quantum programming languages (Qiskit, Cirq, or Q#)
- Proven experience with cryogenic quantum hardware and control systems
- Strong background in machine learning and classical-quantum hybrid algorithms
- Published research in peer-reviewed quantum computing journals
- Proficiency in high-performance computing environments and parallel processing
- Security clearance or ability to obtain DoD clearance preferred
